I get the Oh So predicatable answers like.

1. It's sad that you think you work harder for your money (when I never said I work harder than anyone I just work)
2. Why aren't you mad at the rich not paying their fair share (can you say uninformed class envy ?) The top 5% in this country pay the most of the taxes already.
3. It pales in comparison to the war BS (not a releveant answer)
4. We have to help out our brothers and sisters bit (let their family help them so I can take care of mine). Then the same person implies that I have 2 houses in the Hamptons (I don't but so what if I did ?)
5. The I can't believe you bay 40% to 60% in taxes bit (try adding Federal and State income taxes, property taxes, excise taxes, sales taxes, gas taxes, user fees etc... up)

So once again please explain why you think you know how to spend my money better than I do ? The FACT is the more of my money I'm able to keep now the less like I am to need Government assistance when I get older.

The reason that you pay so much in taxes is that Congress spends your money like drunken sailors. For the past ten years, it has been drunken Republican sailors. Before that it was drunken Democratic sailors.

It doesn't matter which party is in power, they all spend their time converting your tax dollars into their campaign contributions and votes. That's what your taxes buy; political careers.

I believe every lame answer--and worse:
Five percent of the nation pay most of the taxes? That is correct, because they hold 95 percent of this nation's wealth---and they do get tax breaks right and left as "incentives" to create jobs.

As far as you getting older is concerned: I have two pieces of advice.

First of all, even if you think it is a wate of money--get you a disability insurance and if you pay mortgage, get you mortgage insurance. Too many people lose everything because they don't have the above mentioned.

Secondly, try to invest your money wisely. Social Security will not take care of our young---it will be gone by then. Don't invest with those big fancy brokerages either. Common sense should tell anyone that it is best to invest money into more than one company, and common sense should also tell you what we need---food, clothing, health care, toothpaste, laundry detergent---you will not need a broker to watch your funds and charge you an arm and leg for it---you can very well do it yourself.

You have bought the repuglican dream, and no matter if a Liberal spelled out to you and drew pictures you will just not get it. If you think that the top 5% pay more taxes then the middle class which are millions and millions more people you are never going to understand. It is too bad about you. Have fun with your delusional life. Keep shooting yourself in the foot and vote repuglican every election. Just remember that I am out her to cancel your vote, and I do it with pleasure.

Your right, the libs just want to make everybody at the same income level, except for them selves, and I am poor! I think it's sad they want to spend every one else's money but their own. If it weren't for the rich half of them wouldn't have jobs. You can bet your bottom dollar the liberals in government take every loop hole they can get, when they pay their taxes. and so do all liberals. But Republicans also raise taxes, remember George 41.

Whoa dude, you realize the whole point of taxing us to death is so that we have NO CHOICE but to rely on the government when we're older. Then the cycle of government dependence will be complete and they'll have complete control over us.

The life of joe might help you.

Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and safe because some tree-hugging liberal fought for maximum water-quality standards..

With his first swallow of coffee, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to insure their safety and that they work as advertised.

All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - and now Joe gets it, too.

He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girlie-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat-packing industry.

In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our atmosphere.

He walks to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards.

Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some ridiculous liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It's noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards.

He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal (FDR) stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.

He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking,
quiche-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved conservative Republicans fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day.

Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man! All Americans should take care of themselves, just as I have."

but I would be willing to bet... it's probably all on yourself... greed is a sin too buddy...

Do you ever notice how all the wealthy people actually think that they are "middle class"... and we are uninformed?
