How cold does it get during winter in Istanbul, Turkey?

Istanbul's winter is generally December thru March, with Jan-Feb being the coldest months. The average high temps in Jan and Feb are about 48 deg. F., average lows about 37 deg. F.

Winter is also the rainier time of the year in Istanbul; half of the days are considered "rainy days."

Rarely goes below 32 F.
But humidity in the air makes you feel colder than that.
West parts of the city take plain snow whereas the shores (especially in the southern part of the city) takes wild winds.

Milder than New York City winter though

very cold but if you are looking to go on Holiday there at this time
try bursa about 2 hours away they have a nice ski resort there in the winter.

i wouldn't know i live in south georgia, usa. winter does not exist. snow whats that. winter down here is early january forty degrees average. so id imagine it gets colder there than here.
