On March 25, 1995, rapper Eazy-E died from AIDS at 6:35 PM at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. It ended up affecting the Hip Hop community big time and even Dr. Dre wrote a song about his death.

those on the east coast have perpetuated for years the claim that Eazy E, or Eric Wright, died of AIDS in order to destroy his reputation. The fact is that Eazy E was shot three times in the chest by a young up and comer Clifford Smith in order to gain "street credit" amongst other east coast rappers. It worked, method man eclipsed the cold bloodedly murdered Eazy E, and the rest is history. And people like this continue to rub salt in the wound that is Eazy's early demise. HE DID NOT DIE OF AIDS.
