Is there any way to prevent the slime that forms on the bottom after a day or so?

A small wash bucket for feet and a tarp to cover it up when your not using it. Get a little strainer for collecting debris that get in.

Put a cup full of chlorox in the pool every few days, this should keep the slime out. It will kill the bacteria that is in there to promote this...

If you want, get a pool tester and make sure that it has a residual, when you pour the chlorox in there and stir it up, and 15 minutes later, its showing below 2.5mg/l

(Thats what is safe, for drinking water, as our City keeps that much in the water coming from the tap. Fish kills are at 2.0mg/l :) But, most pools will tell you to keep it at .5mg/l as it has satisfied all bacterial needs to be killed, but, I like to make sure :)

I wish you well...

You don't define CLEAN,,, They are Kids,,,Geez.

You you mean bacteria free, or all that junk on your lawn that gets tracked in?????

If its bacteria, dont put a chlorine tab in, just a couple of tablespoons of bleach will help and wont hurt the little ones. You should be changing it anyway,,, KIDS PEE IN POOLS,,,Yikes. How much does water cost anyway,, as opposed to a doctor visit.
