I keep seeing people saying about a babyfather or a babymother, surely you only need father and mother, or do people think that they might be the mother or father of something besides a baby? Is this an American thing?

it's actually baby's mama or baby's daddy.... it's actually quite demeaning...it means you have a child with someone but no real relationship with the person...i guess it's an american thing......in other words, they have sex with each other, have a child together and THAT'S IT.....then they move on to the next baby's mama/daddy.....some people have several different baby's mamas/daddies.....it's sad, but true

they're right kids today grow up in messed up homes. I aint one to speak about that cause I don't know who my dad is. It's not really an american thing, it is a black/african american thing.
