Here in Briton labor is loosing power, in about 4 years time if this continues we will have right wing government, which of course is not good. America is the prime example? What has happened to all the left wing people? They are just saying bush is this and that.. but not doing any thing about... America must have a president from the Democratic party next time to keep the balance. Both sides of the Atlantic being right wing is not a good thing. Might be the beginning of another world war.. Specially after Iran stepping up its Nuclear programme. So my qestion, where have all the good men gone?.....

There are good democrats. We're the one's that made equality a household word, fought for free speech, freedom of expression, and recognition of sex as a choice, not something others can simply legislate at will.

At the same time, I sometimes wonder if we realize that we won? Republicans now seem to accept equality as a matter of fact, support free speech, and although they hesitate on some free expression and sex, for the most part they have come around to a live and let live.

Democratic leaders seem to want SPECIAL rights for minorities, to shut down the free speech of those who disagree with them, to silence the conservative and Republican voices, as well as the religious voices, and seem to be intent on slandering our respective countries and elected leaders every chance they get.

We will not again be a power to contend with until once again we stand for equality (for everyone, not special rights), free speech (keep speaking up, conservatives/Republicans/Christians, but expect us to speak up, too), free expression (that doesn't aim at silencing others), and when we will not tolerate seditious behavior against our leaders and our country.

Oh, we'll dissent and disagree, but without the name-calling, the rumor-spreading, the made-up nonsense with no proof spread as if the individuals we are talking about are not just guilty until proven innocent, but everyone else is also guilty of anything we can make-up or suspect is true, by association, until proven innocent which they can't because they disagree with us.

Silly. We're capable of more as a party. People see through all the nonsense quite easily and with the web are getting better and better informed. I love the web.

Stand up. Speak up. Stop slandering. Speak the truth, always. Become a party of truth.

People will see it. They'll know. Until then, the Republicans will keep winning because all we have is a bunch of hate and rumors of the week.

Get over it and take back the countries with the integrity and strength of will that made out countries great!

Why can't Democrats win? I'm surprised they don't ALWAYS win. You see, Democrats pander to the LCD (lowest common denominator). They say what people want to hear. They tell voters that the government should do more for them. They explain away people's failures as the fault of their government, as if people have no personal responsibility for their own lives.

The Democrats are like McDonalds. How? McDonalds takes advantage of people's worst instincts, most notably laziness and lack of imagination. People eat at McDonalds because they're too lazy or ambivalent to prepare healthy food for themselves. They just wants something fast and convenient, even when they are already fat and desperately need to lose weight.

Similarly, Democrats prey upon people's laziness, greed, and desire to have someone else do what they should be responsible for. In contrast, Republicans tell people what they need to hear: get off you butt and do something productive.

Here's a perfect example: at the Bush/Kerry debates, the question posed was, "How should the government assist people who have lost their jobs". Kerry, in typical democratic fashion, profusely empathized with the unemployed, promised the moon, and prattled on about the endless things he would do to make sure everyone had a job. (shameless nonsense!).

What did Bush do? He pointed out that people could much more easily get new jobs if they improved their skills. He told people to take advantage of educational benefits they already had. In other words, get off your lazy butts, study, and you will be more attractive to employers. That's how you'll get a job.

Like I said, I don't know why the Democrats don't always win. They are shameless panderers.

Well, you could be a little more open-minded. Just because you don't like a right-wing government, doesn't mean that it is bad. America has gone back and forth from left and right many times over the last 50 years, and I bet you hardly noticed. If you don't like the system that much, why don't you run for office? I bet you'll see that you are pretty much powerless no matter what party.

Maybe the intelligent people of the west are tired of the same pointless left-wing rhetoric. I am independent, but the left just seems too politically opportunistic, poll driven, and lacks a real, sensible plan.

Liberals in my opinion are very weak and soft in theyre proposals. Its a bit like the Church of England, not wanting to offend anyone and when it comes to a proposal and someone else says "But" the liberals say "Oh, ok, better not then"

Besides, it seems easy enough to win the US Presidential election by just saying as emotionally as possible: "God bless America!". Sad.

they have sold out and want all the good things in life ----second home 60 ft yaht-- vacations and 20 years of good retirement.the ones who keep working serve on boards and attend very few meetings leaving them plenty of free time while still being able to tell everyone how busy they are and what a great contribution they have made.
there are no good politicians left hardly and the good ones are run out before they can do anything.Allegations of fund raising scandals when they can not find a mistress in the closet or gay lover or drugs and alcohol abuse.Colleges have so much record keeping that has nothing to do with education.
So i say again we have no candidates that will do anything to change the status quo. --democrat or republican.
funny thing is everyone knows this and still willnot do anything because everyone has a special intrest and will not combine with all the others out there to do the right thing
gay marriage wants military rights
anti abortionists support death penelty
free speach advocates want tougher drug sentences.
the aclu is a group out to destroy america lol.
flat tax is rejected out of hand
enviromentalists want to save 1 species of plant or animal and reject drilling for oil in the gulf of mexico if we had spent 1 trillion on oil rigs in the gulf we could be oil independent of the middle east till we converted over to renewable fuels .and would'nt of needed the war except haliburton and the other defense contractors went nuts after clinton slashed defense spending and cut the military .
Evey time we do one thing right along comes someone else to screw it up .
we have enough jets and helicoptors to repell an invasioon for gods sake and we need a larger military special ops teams of under 100 guys respond to most hostage situations and we need 500,000 guys and gals in uniform .we are getting ready to declare martial law in the U.S/A. soon talk of a wall between the U.S. an mexican boarder.i thought thats what treaties where for .Instead of ignoring mexicos problems we need to help them achive financial equality with the U.S.there problems are becoming our by us neglecting mexico and its millions of people living in poverty.not to mention our own what 30 million or so .
the problem is no one is willing to bend and say i need this and am willing to let you have that if we can combine forces and get something done.no body gets along and we all live in isolation restraining orders and law suites against neighbors for barking dogs i mean what 100 years ago some one would of shoot the dog and ended it today he would be arrested and serve about 3 years in prison .chickens need to roam free before we eat them civilized what a bunch of freaks runniing things.
i beleive it is by design of a group of wealth families whos idea is to split the world up between them after the next world war .
which they are leading us towards.

republicans pull it though on the abortion issue always, which in it's self is an issue to deal with, however there are many many other issues in the country to deal with,so perhaps just to get in office the democrats should lie and say they agree totally with the republicans on thaT ISSUE, HAHAHA....also, gettting to be too many rich and so called southern christians in the country where no way should politics and religion come together anyway
