I was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. We were having a brigade sized jump on a very windy day. The Colonel gave it a no-go, then changed his mind because a lot of media was on-hand. I landed off the drop zone in a tree and was knocked unconscious. I awoke to see the next wave of aircraft flying at about 1,200 feet dropping some 400 paratroopers. As I watched 5 were dragged to their deaths in front of me. I injured my back real bad and suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to this day and receive a V.A. disability check. Yet the money has never stopped the nightmares I suffer through almost every night.

Being examined for leukaemia whilst the docs theory i did no longer be attentive to (I have been admitted with an allergies attack) so no-one advised me a situation even with the indisputable fact that I had examine the notes on the backside of my mattress. After discharge the representative called me in for an pressing blood attempt or maybe positioned the type in an envelope so i would not see what they have been finding out me for. It became basically as quickly as I observed my psychiatrist each week later that any one pronounced something to me!!!! i did no longer have it however the shortcoming of communication is terrifying oh and psychosis isn't rather the two!

Spent the night in a old country chapel in the south USA. The founder/pastor is entombed in a huge mountain rock inside the chapel. In fact the chapel was constructed around the rock. The door is always left open there welcoming visitors.....after driving around one night showing some scenery off to a friend we stopped at the chapel and when trying to leave the car would not start. No choice at all other than to stay there till morning. We stretched out on the pews to sleep and I think I did actually drift off when scratching fingernails were at the window. I thought at first it must be branches from shrubbery scratching when the wind blows. After awhile we got the courage to go out to see and there was nothing. No trees or shrubs lined the windows. Went back in (very cold night) to brave the spooky feelings and again drifted off to sleep. Again scratching started along with running sounds on the roof. To heavy for a bird or squirrel and to light for a human. I could literally hear my heart pounding. Soft lighting lit the huge rock that juts out and forms the pulpit, after looking at the rock for a few minutes trying to figure out what we should do.......every shadowed crevice formed a demonic face type feature and at that point I was extremely freaked out. I said that's it......got out and spent the rest of the night in the car freezing. Never believed in demons or the boogey man...however do believe in spirits and ghosts....something was definitely in there that night.

As a 9 yr old looking out the livingroom window I witnessed my younger brother get run over by a neighbors car. I froze and can still remember the feeling years later. When I was finally able to move and tell my parents the driver was out of the car and my brother was surrounded by concered onlookers. Although seriously injured, he survived.

I was in the woods, jogging alone with my Pomeranian. We had just started on the forest preserve path..when I noticed this guy. He looked a bit suspicious..but I thought if I averted his gaze..and walked right by him that he would walk right by too.
Then..he swerved in front of me..and in his left hand was a very large hunting knife held up in front of him. When I saw this..I began to scream, and began running backwards. In the process..I even got stung with a bee. The guy must have been startled by this..and he ran away. I didn't get hurt physically..but definitely emotionally.
That experience cost me years of suffering agoraphobia..and a lot of therapy.

I got really sick 2 years ago and ended up in the emergency room. It was frightening once I got better to look back and see how sick I could let myself get before seeking medical attention.

Rolling a convertable Mustang over and feeling your head touch the ground as it pins you under the car! Had to dig our way out of the ditch as the car caught fire! No one was hurt but the car. Only had the car 2 weeks.

i was on my stomach laying out in the sun and reading a book. felt something on my lower leg. looked down. it was a snake.
i don't know who was most frightened. I did a rain dance, and the snake darted away in a flash.
another one happened like this. i'd just turned off the light to my room and was laying in the bed to go to sleep. I heard high pitched dotted sounds and some flapping. i turned on the lights. It was a bat flying in my room.
after a few swings, I smacked him with my tennis racket. knocked it against a wall -- dead he became.
