height = 5sqrt(2)
base = 12
Area = 5sqrt(2)*12
Area = 60sqrt(2)
Note that the height is neither 10 nor 12.
If you consider 12 to be the base, then the slant height is 10.
Area equals base times height.
Height and slant height are not the same thing.

The area of a parallelogram is 1/2 * base * height, so .5 times 10 times 12 = 60

where the f**k did you see that? coz a parallelogram has only and only four parallel sides. Maybe in the universe you belong to we can find a 13sided figure called a parallelogram. And at least this was what the math book of class6 said the last time i referred to it(that is.......... a few years ago). But who knows, they keep changing the course. Someday the sun WILL rise from the west and we WILL have a 13sided parallelogram. Thanks to your extra-terestrial brain!!

10 * 12 = 120.

Since the one angle (pair) is 45 the other must be 135.

Draw perpendiculars through bottoms points. You will get a rectangles and two triangles.

The triangles will have 45 - 45 - 90 angles.

Take one triangles and paste on the other side; you will get a rectangle of 10 x 12.

Therefore the area is = 10 * 12 = 120

area of a parallelogram = base * height

base = 12 cm
height = 5*sqrt 2

area = 60*sqrt 2

I don't think angle measures are needed to solve this. The area equals 120. 10*12=120.

Area = ab sin(A)
Area = (10 * 12)sin(45)
Area = 120(sqrt(2)/2)
Area = (120sqrt(2))/2
Area = 60sqrt(2)
Area = about 84.853

ANS : about 84.85
