I have just had a similar problem, my friend advised me to 'start with the simple things', looking at the battery we discovered some corrosion and a loose terminal. Try this before getting into the starter, it's a lot easier . Good luck

Check your battery. The click came from the starter's solenoid. Not enough power to turn over the starter to start the motor.

Could be a low battery or could be a solinoid...Do you have horn? lights? If lights, when they are on and you try to start the car do the lights dim???if yes battery. It may just be that the cables need cleaned and tightened...That would be a good place to start

Sounds like your battery or your starter. Check for corrosion of the electrical connections or if they are loose.

If the dome lights come on or anything else, then it's the starter
