My best relationships ever have been friends with benefits. No fighting, no attachment, freedom to see other people, freedome to come home to an empty couch and watch re-runs naked if you want to, none of the relationship drama. A best friend that's a lover only when you need them to be. Wonderful!!

I've had it work. Most people start to get attached to the people they are having sex with. However, if both people can keep it from getting into their emotions so much and just keep it friendly, then yes, I think it can work.
