Well, I have one friend who just gets along better with girls for some reason. I think it may be in the way they're raised.

Guys have problems expressing affection for another guy. There is no real good way for most men to say that they appreciate their friends without sounding gay or drunk ("I Love you, man! You're the greatest" with the drunken slur.
So, they put on a self-deprecating gay tone to express comaraderie to other guys.

I believe the proper term for that would be "Metrosexual" : the trait of an urban male of any sexual orientation who has a strong aesthetic sense and spends a great amount of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle

Girls are more open to guys who act gay. They just feel more comfortable around them. Guys act gay around each other just to be stupid sometimes.
