Answer 31-- you sound very "white powerish" you cannot really feel Homosexuality is EVIL!!! My mother is the best person I know. My issue is not with your right to have an opinion but the fact that you use God's love as a vechile of hate. If I was you I would ask for the Lord's protection becasue you are going to need it. It makes me rethink this world in general if people like you are allowed to breed. Hate breeds hate and evil breeds evil. You are the very exsitence of both. Dont answer my questions any more. Although I respect the different opinons other may have and bring to this forum, my level of tolerance ends with people who hide behind a Bible and in the name of the Lord but spew the hate that you are spreading. My God loves all his people. He created EVERYONE in his likeness and when love is involved the He is there. Good luck with that afterlife thing... I think your in for a big SHOCK.

I'll put my own marriage up against anyone else's marriage any day.

I'm proud of what we've done together.

Many, many, many Gay / Lesbian marriages are worthy to be admired and would put many, many, many Hetero marriages to shame on any day.

As far as I'm concerned, God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, however I don't really see a problem with a gay couple being together. But Why get married? I think the mean reason people marry is for procreation. People marry, have kids, and can raise their family in a safe healthy environement. People mught argue that statistically gay couple fight and argue much less than a hetrosexual couple, and honestly, i might tend to agree. I have gay friends and i usually debate this topic quite a bit. Don't get me wrong guys, but I dont really think that its a good environment for a kid to grow up within a gay marriage. Not because we 'heteros hate the idea that the kid might turn up gay'. Nothing of the sort. I DO think however that a kid needs to grow up with both a Female and Masculine influence in their childhood. The chick above me said Mayonnaise. To be honest i smiled upon seeing that remark, but dude, that IS a bit disrespectful innit?

LIFE - LOVE it is meant to be.
What goes on in someone else's bedroom
is none of anybodies business.
I would rather be gay and happy -
than straight and miserably.
We are all people - why is it so
imported to know whether one person is
gay or lesbian? It is absolutely nobodies
business.
YES - let the people decide if they want to marry!
God has nothing to do with this!
If you are a Christian - the ten commandments
do not mention anything about marrying the same
sex or the opposite one.
So, cool it! Do not look into other peoples bedroom.
Don't be a "Peeping Tom"

I am an atheist, so I don't care about any of those god/sin/bible arguments. Technically though, the torah (I think leviticus) states that homosexual sex should be punished by death. It is therefore hypocritical of a christian to demand anything less; if you pick and choose which bible passages you accept and which you don't, then you are not an actual christian, just a generic theist fanatic parading around as a christian fanatic.

Marriage serves the functional purpose of forcing both parents to support any offspring that they produce. Homosexuals do not produce offspring, so marriage serves no purpose for them, and therefore should not be allowed. Also, homosexual marriage promotes disabilities, just as the so-called 'special' olympics do.

Your logic is faulty.

Do not judge doesn't mean we are to stand by while evil accumulates. It is our job to stand against it. The gay movement is clearly very evil. For those of us with discernment, we have to make a moral stand. God gives us the opportunity to stop evil. If we do so, when judgment comes, we have the right to ask the Lord for protection.

The only reason gay marriage is even taken seriously is because liberal judges gave it a foothold..and because many Americans are pretty messed up themselves, and can't see right and wrong any more.

I am for gay marriage. It seems to me that a lot of people think that by stopping same-sex marriage, homosexuality will go away. Same sex couples will live together as if married whether or not they actually are. Preventing them from getting married doesn't stop them from living as a married couple. So, they're going to live together in a monogamous relationship anyway, so why not give them some benefits? Allowing same sex marriage will not increase the amount of same-sex couples.

I think that if people believe that marriage provides stability to our society, then why would they want to deny everyone that stability?

We might want to offer a different "type" of marriage....like civil unions so that gay partners can get the same rights that straight partners get in our culture. (BTW, I'm straight too).

Marriage is NOT biblical, it was originally about property arrangements. I do not know how people can think they are so high and mighty to think that they can decide what others should or should not do around them. If you ask me, they have too much time on their hands.

honestly, i try not to think of weather it is wrong or right. our main goal in life is to share and spread gods love and our own with the world. I dont have a problem with gays and lesbians getting married because I know that they are happy. i am straight also and am happily in a relationship.

This is behavior & what if someone wants to have bestialty relationship with their pet? Should a person be allowed to marry their pet?
Gays use the U.S. Constitution Fourteenth Amendment to claim they don't have equal rights. Reality is homosexuals already have those rights under that amendment.
Gay rights aren’t like racial rights, because it’s behavior.
If we are going to say that sexual orientation is to be treated like race, then we’re saying that sexual orientation is like race, a condition beyond the individual’s control.
If we’re going to have special legal protections for homosexuals, shouldn’t everybody else’s uncontrollable sexual orientations be protected?

everyone has the right to be in love. and if two people love each other marriage is usually the next step. why not for gays? they won't ruin the sanctity of marriage, straights already have, the proof is in the divorce rates.
by the way I am not gay but i believe everyone has the right to happily ever after.
