K so your about the age of 18 and you have no had sex, but you have givin and recieved oral but stopped it at that. Some people feel the need to say that i'm no longer a virgin because i have had oral sex but refraned from sexual intercourse through many releationships because i don't feel i'm ready and waiting for the right guy.
Do you think it's right for people to say i'm no longer a virgin because of oral sex?

I don't think it's right for other people to make comments about your sexuality. You make the choices that you make for yourself, not for the people around you to judge you and tell you whether or not you're a virgin. Don't worry about those other people. If you're comfortable with it, that's great. If you're not, you shouldn't feel obligated to do it.

Well... there are many definitions of what a virgin really is... some people define virgin as someone who has not had sexual intercourse which is how you understand it while others think that it means no sexual contact with another person or even you exploring your own body. To some people as well, if you had sex once but you weren't ready for it, it was a msitake, it was forced or etc they may consider you still a virgin cuz from an emotional point of view you are one. i think its just what people say and you shouldn't really take them on about what they think about something minor as this. it's your body, you do whats comfortable for you. its good that you are waiting for the right person.

You know, there used to be a time when a man wouldn't dream of asking for oral sex until after a normal sexual routine (intercourse) had been established. Now, people seem to be just doing it for kicks.
Just because you have a hymen intact - does not make you a virgin in the eyes of most people. Don't forget, you can catch STDs from oral sex.

Some folk use the term "technical virgin" for this situation. Really, virginity is not a simple thing.
I recommend this site on female sexuality:
http://www.the-clitoris.com/f_html/fr_index.htm
eg:
http://www.the-clitoris.com/f_html/virgin1.htm
"Virginity: Information about virginity, sexual development, and first experiences with vaginal intercourse"
eg what do you think of this bit:
" .....
Who is a Virgin?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A girl or woman who has not permitted a male partner to insert his penis into her vagina is commonly accepted to be a virgin. Others define a virgin as any girl or woman who has not had sexual contact with another person, and who has not explored her own body as well. Strict religious doctrines require virgins to not only forgo physical sex but also sexual thought. Still others say a virgin is a girl or woman who has an intact hymen. Your definition of a virgin depends on your point of view.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are always exceptions to every definition of what constitutes a virgin. The above definitions do not take into account homosexuals and intersexed individuals. At what point does a lesbian become a non-virgin? If an intersexed individual without a vagina accepts a female identity will she always be a virgin? If a girl is born without a hymen is she never a virgin? What about sexually abused girls and raped teens? If you did not consent is that the same as consenting? If a bi-sexual teen is a "technical virgin," a person who engages in sexual touching and/or oral sex but not vaginal intercourse, still a virgin even if she has had twenty sexual partners? Virginity is a spiritual attribute not a physical one. A virgin and virginity are what you believe them to be.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since virginity is a spiritual attribute a woman can be a virgin more than once in her lifetime, as odd as that may sound. The best example of this may be the young teen that tries intercourse once and realizes she was not really ready, it was not as enjoyable as she had hoped, or that it was simply a mistake, and does not engage in intercourse again for several years. As time goes by her reluctance to engage in intercourse may increase, or becomes greater than it ever was, because she comes to expect more. From an emotional point of view she is a virgin; with the same desires and apprehensions as a woman who has never engaged in intercourse."

As long as you have not had your hymen broken, you are a virgin. You do not have to tell anyone that you give head. But there is no " Right guy " You may as well hump the first dude that turns you on. The more experience you have, the better you will be for your " Right guy "

oral sex is sex.
When you get married someday and your spouse comes home at 4AM and smells like sex and strange perfume and you say "you've been with someone else" and they reply by saying "we didn't have intercourse but were just mutually orally pleasuring each other". What do you think your opinion would be as to whether your spouse had been having sex or not?

Mentally you are no longer a virgin. More of a c**k gobbler.
But you are still a virgin, in the sense you still have not had intercourse yet.

No u would still be a virgin. Losing your virginity happens when the a part in your vagina is tore when a penis goes in it. Oral sex doesn't lose your virginity.
