Why do Indian (From India, NOT native) enjoy coffee so much?

I work with a handful of Indians, and I don't think I have seen people drink so much coffee. They will put on about 11 pots a day. Just wondering if this is a native trait? Please only real answers. Don't waste yours or my time with bogus jokes.

I'm not sure if this is an accurate assumption. The Indians I know drink a lot of tea, and may drink coffee as a substitute, but I know several who don't care for coffee due to the bitterness.
