why do perry dogs cant be pets?

if a perrydog is a rodent than why cant it be set free and roam the streets and come in the house like any other rodent like mice and rats

Because they dont go into cities. They stick to their fields. Hence the name "prairie dogs", they hang out on the prairie. Rats and mice dont really have a natural habitat, they just roam cities.

Are you talking about a PRAIRIE DOG???????? I have no idea what a "perry dog" is.
