Not at all! You have years of working ahead of you and you should spend them doing something you enjoy. Lots of people have changed careers in their 40s and 50s.

It is never too late-- I went back to school when I was 33 and graduated with my PhD and started a new career when I was 39. Many of the people I teach and many students I was in school with are/were all starting new careers. In today's workplace, it happens. The oldest person I worked with was 89 years old and had 15% lung capacity-- but made it to class every day.

If you leave it to me, I don't think its ever too late to pursue a career or go back to school. It's something that you should do if you really want to or else you'll end up regretting if you don't. If you pursue another career and don't like it, at least you could say I tried.
