We've known each other for two years. He has lived in my house for about a year and a half. We have sex but we have no commitments. I can't decide whether to try to salvage the friendship or confront him about his lies and end it. He does not know that I know he's lying and I have proof that he is. Or I can just stop putting any energy into it and ignore him but still ask him to move out, but he'll want to know why.

Be honest with him and then kick him out. You can still be friends when he is gone but that does not mean you should put up with it. He will be mad but that will be his problem. He brought it on himself. I wouls stop having sex with him to start and then when the time is right then lay it out. If you think he is worth salvaging then just confront him and tell him the new rules. No more lies or you are gone. Good luck.

best thing to do is talk to your friend. tell him how you feel and see what he says. you know he lies so why would you want that in your life? if you don't want him there then ask him to move out. don't be rude about it and stay cool. it sounds like he ended your friendship a long time a go when he started to lie to you. he will mad at you when you ask him to move out but that is his problem. don't have sex with him anymore because when you do then he thinks he still can walk all over you. good luck.

I would state how I feel, and get the reaction. If its a negative response, then I would let the person know you will start looking for another roomate, Just remember this person might be on a lease if so you might not have the authority to kick him/her out.

Just tell him that as a friend/roomate, you should be able to trust him no matter what, and if he cant be honest to you, then tell him to leave cause there is no room in the house for liars.

You seems very emotional about a relationship with no commitments. If you feel that strongly it should not matter to you if you kick him. But, you do have my permission to evict.
