If he's over 18, you can find past addresses, criminal records, etc. on a lot of sites. Try intelius.com, zabasearch.com, or just type "background check" into Google and you'll get a bunch. You have to pay for the info, though, it's not free.
Or you could dump him. I'm going through the same thing with my roommate I caught lying to me. Good luck.

lexis-nexis - but you have to pay a lot. it will give you all his addresses and names off family members, associates, neighbors, and you will find out if he has any judgments, liens

i feel kinda guilty because ive done this before, but google. google his name, his email address, his screen names etc. and see what comes up.
