I am 17 years old and am wondering if there is any way I can get my nose pierced without my parent's consent. Could I do that, or would I have to be 18?

only if you lie, i think. it might depend on what state you're in, but otherwise i believe you need to be 18 and legally an adult.
it may be possible just to go and say that you have parental consent.
why would you want to get your nose pierced anyway? i don't think it looks particularly good.

Legally, you have to be 18. Dont go to a shop that will pierce a minor without parental consent. They can get in serious trouble with the law. If they lower their standards to say 16+ instead of the legal 18+ then they are probably arent certified correctly. Doubt they use sterile supplies as well. Just hold out for a bit til you are 18.

Show your parents you are mature enough to handle it. Do good in school and try to get the piercing as a gift for good grades. Do your chores on time and all that good stuff. Thats how many minors bribe their parents into letting them get a piercing... by being mature with it.

Some piercing parlors allow people to get piercings without parental consent at 16, so naturally you would be able to. But there aren't a lot of those around, so you might have to do some searching. However, if you don't want to search, NEVER allow one of your friends do it with a safety or something like that.

18 is the consenting age for piercings. Just wait until then. If you really want it, you will still want it when you are old enough to get it and you have the added advantage of not causing a rift between you and your folks.

well, it depends on the piercing, i mean i have a 16 year old brother, and he got an ear piercing and he didnt have to sign anything, and he just went in the store and they just did it, yes, they did ask for id, but they saw that he was sixteen. if you want to get a belly button piercing you have to have parents permission.other places. i dunno.

Seems to me if you had your nose pierced it would always seem like you had a bugger in it.

That i know of you have to be 18, unless you do it yourself, but i don't recommend that!
