Parent's choice is cheap at Walmart but my daughter did not like it. I always bought Similac with Iron at Walmart in a larger container because it was the cheapest that way & at Walmart. But you income guidelines might qualify you for WIC which is a worthwhile program due to the expenses of a newborn.

Please don't use a formula because it costs less. The best formula to use is Carnation Good Start. It costs about the same as the other brands like Similac, but is much better for your baby.

I used Good Start after I stopped breast feeding. It is closer to breast milk than any other formula and it's easy for your baby's stomach to digest. The other formulas form small curds in baby's tummy, causing him or her to spit up alot and cry from discomfort.

W.I.C = Women -Infants - Children!
They are the real life & money savers. But if for some reason you don't qualify (Which would be Really Rare, even when you work), I've heard that Walmarts Parents Choice is good.

Parent's Choice is a Wal Mart brand and my physician said it contained the exact same ingrediants as Similac but for about half the price.

Albertsons and Sav-ons has some good no name brand formulas that co-incide with the name brand formulas, same everything, just way cheaper.
dont buy the big one at first, make sure your baby likes it and can take it, thay are sooooooo delecate the first few months.

My children had Nan, it was the least expensive on the market, however it can bind them up and so I also used to give them some prune nectar in water (not to much for little ones) watch out for specials on infant formula and stock up when you can.

go to your local health department and get w.i.c. it costs you nothing and you stand less chance of the child burping the formula back up on you because of it being so cheap and less nutritious. It is better to be on Good Start.

go to your nearest wic office (women,infants, and children) they provide 10 cans of formula a month. and when the baby is old enough you get cereal and juice. good deal for low income families. and when your baby is on reg milk they give you milk and a little bit of food
