It is so comman, that women get yeast infections..and there is such a stigma about being dirty and unclean...BUT THAT IS SO NOT TRUE!!! Actually its the oposite....I get them all the time..and i'm such a neat freak in general so when it comes to my hygene it is more important...So don't think that you are not a clean person.
Now for the medical side...since i get them too i know a few things about them...they can last for a long time if you don't use the Monastat...you can use the one day...the three day and the seven day ones...it all depends on your body...but if it does persists like sometimes mine have...then u need to see a doctor and they give u a pill to take...which works faster...but it all pertains to your body as well.
Hope this helps...and good luck with it...its the worst feeling ever Trust me I KNOW!!!!
Drink lots of water, and eat less sugary foods, don't wear a thong for that time, wear cotton panties for a while, and don't have sex cuz it can spread, and make u feel worst.
feel better!!!

The duration depends upon the cause. Perhaps your problem is not only a yeast infection? Or perhaps you are becoming re-infected. After a week, you should visit your doctor. Also, perhaps you have developed a tolerance for Monistat. According to some recent reseach, Gyne-Lotrimin is more effective.

Yes, i have to use it sometimes 2 boxes in a row. I have reacurring yeast infections and the dr put me on a vitamin/pill called Acidophilus, you can buy it over the counter. It really helps!! It is to keep your yeast count down!

The OTC medications are somewhat effective but after taking them and still are having discharge then I would suggest seeing someone...often the OTC meds are not strong enough and sometimes it is something other than yeast...
