14 days before your period... that's when you ovulate. that's when the egg descends from the fallopian tube into the uterus, ready (and easier) to be fertilized.

In a normal 28 day cycle..count the first day of your period as day on and count to day 13 through 16...during those days have intercourse but give yourself a day in between to rest...this should be when you are ovulating...of course everyone cycle is different and often not regular..what is a period is the shedding of the lining of the uterus which was preparing for implantation of the fertilized egg..(the egg and sperm fertilize in the tube and then drops into the uterus and implants and grows into a embryo...later a fetus/baby...its a miracle how we start out...anyway if you are having trouble getting pregnant keep track of your cycle (how often and long) go to your physician and bring this info so he or she can figure out what is going on...

After a period is the best. A new egg is released after your period. Right before the egg is father along the fallopian tub than it should be. It is possible to get pregnant at any time, but after would be your best bet.

you can only get pregnant when you ovulate, which is usually in between your periods. If you have a 28 day cycle, for example, you will probably ovulate on the fourteenth day. You should read up a little more on this before getting pregnant, it will help.
