I am 19 and I need to find a way to get prenatal care. I think I am going to go to women's and children's but I don't know if welfare sent me my medical card... I can always go to WIC. I am making an appointment tomorrow.

I got some Kroger prenatal vitamins. I went to the WIC office. I really don't know how far along I am just yet. But hopefully I find out Friday when I go to Women's and Children's for my consultation.

Here's what you should do, Once a month you go to the doctor to see how your doing until the 7 month, when the schedule gets changed to every other week until week 38 when it becomes every week. A certain point in time you have some dirve you to the hospital to delivery the baby.

before that you make sure you do not drink or smoke and keep up with your vitamins.

Enjoy being pregnant. There is no template for it.

Emergency assistance will only help you until you have the baby. If you can, switch it to just straight Medi-cal and you'll get it for a year which will cover your post-partum check-up. I know, Medi-cal is such a *****, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Did you take a pregnancy test at wic? They should've told you from when your last missed period was. Good luck with everything!

Shell (two weeks ago) is right about changing your eating habits.
Your little one(s) will be needing good nourishment while it/they
are growing inside you. You also need Shaklee vitamin/mineral supplements, but you probably can't afford them. They're all natural and would provide BOTH of you with exactly what you need. A nurse on "call-a-nurse" once advised a caller to find someone who sold Shaklee products to help with the caller's child's diarrhea. The stuff must be good if a nurse recommended it.

Congratulation!!! You can go to the Health Dept. and get yourself some prenatal care. Be sure to go somewhere as it's very important during your pregnancy. If you get a Medicaid Card, you'll be able to find you a good OBGYN to go to for your delivery and follow-up care after the baby is born.. Good Luck...

Get started on your prenatal care right away, and make that first appointment to see your doctor or midwife, if you haven't already.

Be happy unless you are young... still be happy tho babies are miracles!! Gods little gift to you. How old are you??? Add this on details...If you are young, (like 15) your parents will help you. Just be glad some people would give anything to be able to have a baby. Congrats!! Good Luck!!
