2. PROFIT for builders and construction companies that get paid to rebuild the destroyed nations infra structure.
3. LOOT from the countries they invade and take over.
4. EMPLOYMENT for the lower classes of America and also a way to reduce their numbers by having them killed off as cannon fodder

I hate both. I have a friend who was killed in the Iraq War (from US), which has changed how I look at war a lot.
