Like everyone else, I would recommend going to a doctor first to make sure there isn't a serious (i.e. brain disease) underlying cause for your headaches. If the doctor can't find a specific cause, then you should consider seeing a chiropractor. Contrary to popular belief, chiropractic is more than just "neck and back pain." Chiropractic is founded in the belief that the Central Nervous System (brain, spinal cord, and nerves) controls every bodily function. When the vertebrae are misaligned, they can pinch/damage/affect the nerves running out between them, causing pain or any type of malfunction in the corresponding body part. Chiropractic has tremendous success in treating chronic migraine headaches by removing the neural interference of the pinched nerve and letting the body take care of itself.
For a quick remedy, try putting ice on the back of your neck for 20 minutes (I know it sounds weird, but it's worth a try). No matter what you decide to do, good luck! Hope you feel better.

Any pain is not normal, but instead a warning, an alert, to let u know something is wrong. You should go to a good doctor and have a check up, and unless the dr. finds the reason for the headaches and alleviates them, insist on an mri. It could be a brain tumor, among many other things.

Hi there. I used to have major headaches that would last for several days at a time and would drive me crazy. I couldn't focus on anything until they were gone.
The only thing that helped me was a new program I joined that combines oriental and western medicine. My instructor gave me a wooden pillow (I know it sounds kinda weird) and told me to use it for a few minutes to relax my neck, shoulder and base of cranium muscles. I combined the wooden pillow with regular yoga classes and my headaches gradually disappeared.
You can contact the people from the FIH program through their website at http://www.foundationsinhealth.org
I hope you feel better!

Head for your doctor, pronto. Headaches can be a sign of major problems. Occasional headaches aren't that critical but if you've been getting a lot of them you need help.

If you sit in front of the computer a lot when you get home, this could be causing it. Especially if your eyesight is bad, and you don't wear glasses. You might try not using the computer for a couple of days and see if that helps.

No, never if persistant. See a doctor, could be allergies, stress or something else, but it definitely needs to be checked out.
