You need to increase your iron intake. This can be done by eating more red meat, green leafy vegetables, and raisans. You can take an iron supplement, but be careful. Many iron supplements can cause stomach aches.

relax... your body replenishes them every 90 days. these red blood cells come from your bone marrow. that's why even though women lose blood when they menstruate, they don't become severely anemic. the only reason why a person would have problems with their blood (like leukemia) is if they have cancer or bone marrow problems.
things that can help (read: NOT increase the number of RBC's ok?) is if you eat green vegetables and take daily iron supplement. they help regulate the blood in your system. let's say your body senses that there is a decrease number in RBC's, supplements can help "wake up" your bone marrow to produce more RBC's. our bodies are like dominoes... it knows "when to start" and/or "when to stop" it's pretty amazing.

Depends on why you are deficient in red blood cells. Most important are Iron, folate, and vitamins B6 & B12.
