the tenth character in the vin is the year. b is 1981, c is 82 and so on. and it skips i, o,q and u. y is 2000. 1 is 2001, 2 is 2002.
the engine size will be stamped on the engine labled "number cc" a 599cc would be a 600

Vin # is very difficult to track for year and size.

You should update your posting with any description possible. Is it a dirtbike, sportbike, cruiser, size of tires/wheels, handlebar style, single or two seater, how many cylinders, # of headlights, does it have chrome, etc...??? You get the idea.

Look where the sidecovers bolt on the engine. There should be a smooth flat rectangular spot that will have the engine size in cc's.
