They say you can't take it (whatever "it" is) with you, but you can control what you leave behind. When I'm gone, I want to be remembered as a woman of faith and integrity, someone who worked hard but also had a good time, someone who was strong yet compassionate. There have been some pretty amazing women in my family and I would consider my life a success if I was remembered the same way that they are and served as a role model for future generations. That's what drives me to be a better person.

Love and more love. Oh the depth of it. If everyone could have a mind set to consciously modify one small area of their life for better we would all, eventually, experience the wonder of loving. Which drives us to being a better person.
It is impossible to be living a life of love and hate. Absolutely impossible. I tried and it did not work. Can be frustrated, angry, annoyed etc but the more I love the happier I am. So I continue to strive to being a better pereon each day by simple loving others. Even the cantankerous ones, I pray for endurance to withstand their inadequacies.

MYSELF!
It's not that I'm having a high self-esteem or that I'm selfish. NO!
It's just YOU are the only person who can destroy yourself and also YOU are the only person who can build yourself, character wise, career wise, future wise 'N everything.
You hold everything in your palm. When there is a will there is everything after wards.
I believe that somehow people can influence you, but at the end it's up to you to decide whether you want this or that.
So basically if you wanna be a good person internally and externally you will become one.
And if you want to do bad things in your life you're also going to accomplish that. (In order to satisfy your ego).
It all depends on the (Person's Mind-Set & His/Her intellectual Thinking).

I think I became a much better person falling in love. It's because I wanted that person to get a good impression of me and if i'm a meany with nothing to look forward to in life then they aren't going to like me very much are they? Well, i've always been a good person but falling in love is just a motivation to be better.

I am looking at life in a bright and positive perspective. In this way, I tend to be happier, smiling at people all the time, thinking that problems, although I hated them, they still have solutions.
I am able to whistle, sing a song, admire little children, impressed at nature, appreciate other people whether they are judged good or bad.
To become a better person, first be good... and be good to yourself.

Knowing that I have only one short life to live, and that in the end, no amount of money or power will be able to save my life or end my suffering. Sure, you need some money to take care of yourself. But what really counts is your contribution to the world we live in. I figure that when I am lying in my death bed, money will be meaningless. If money is meaningless, then what does have meaning in life? It must be those things that money cannot buy, like friendships and love. And how does one promote friendships and love? By being healthy and productive so that you can help support those people and things that are deserving of your friendship and love. So I try to improve myself so I can make a positive impact around me.

It must come from within you and you need to drive this determination with desire. The value you place on your integrity will drive you to be a better person.

Its the events of action. I always try to maintain a certain degree of decorum. But its, the after fact, that makes me conscious that maybe I wasn't giving something or someone my all. So, the next time the situation replays its self, I better myself, and handle it from a more caring subconscious view point. I believe we can always improve ourselves and each opportunity that arises, gives us the chance to do this.

Well, I wake up everyday and ask myself how I can be a better person. I guess what motivates me is the knowledge of evil in the world and my ability to help change that-even if it is on a small-scale.

^God^ but at the same time, it's knowing the life I have ahead of me and the effect I have on others. People look up to me, come to me for advice... it helps me too, and gives me a reason to want to take my next breath. It helps me become a better person.
