By unaware, I mean that you do not know that you are pregnant.

It's not true what the other person said about it not being strong enough to hurt the fetus. Birth control has hormones in it...they advise you to quit your birth control as soon as you become pregnate. I work for a OBGYN. We advise all our patient's to quit taking the pill. You don't need it anyways, your already pregnate and your just pumping extra hormones into your body. If you still want more advice, call a free clinic they will let you know.

Update- Since you said taking it while" unaware" I'm sure it will be fine, but you should take a pregnancy test to find out. If you are stop taking the pill. I understand some people have no ill effects to it while pregnate but there is a chance of a miscarriage or ill effects to the fetus. Again, its a risk like anything else is. This is not personal experience but a medical fact

No, the baby will still be fine. I got pregnant while on the Pill and didn't know not until I missed my period. We went to the doctor, found out we were pregnant and were 6 weeks along. Nine months later, my little girl was born healthy as ever. I did stop taking the pills as soon as I found out I was pregnant. So it shouldn't be a problem. I know that ideally women should wait to get pregnant while on the pill or just getting off it, but hey, accidents happen and there are some things that we just can't control.

So don't worry, the baby will be just fine.

If you're taking the tablet thoroughly (i.e. under no circumstances lacking a unmarried tablet and taking it whilst day-to-day) the probabilities are approximately one million in one hundred, however if you happen to every so often leave out drugs or don't take them whilst day-to-day, the probabilities are greater b/c you could enable the extent of start manage hormones to your frame to drop lengthy adequate so that you can ovulate. Yes the probabilities are low, however now not almost 'subsequent to unattainable' - it occurs always. (If you might have ever heard of the TV exhibit "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant", tons and tons of the ones females received pregnant at the same time at the tablet and persevered to have bleeding that they concept used to be their interval.) If you're worried, I might take a scan (the very first thing within the morning, and comply with the guidelines cautiously). It is so much problematic to understand precisely while to take a scan if you happen to had been on start manage, b/c you might have ovulated at any factor within the month and now not always at day 14 such as you could assume. If your start manage failed and also you ovulated later within the month, it might take longer to get a optimistic influence on a HPT. So sure, I might scan once more simply in case. And if you're nonetheless worried, you'll be able to continuously pass see your dr. Good good fortune.
