Most powerful persuasion technique is ''Honesty''. If you are honest you will be more confident and more confidence will enable you to present things in more impressive way which will persuade other. At the same time more knowledge or the subject will make you more confident.

So mantra is Honesty, Knowledge, Confidence, putting yourself in shoes of the others is what make it more persuasive.
