I live in downtown Orlando, FL. I love it. It's grown so much. Your about a good 45 min. to the coast. All kinds of events throughout the year. If your planning on buying close to the downtown area, it's definitely a buyer's market right now. Alot of condos going up. Alot of neat little restaurants and fresh farmer's markets in the downtown area. One complaint, too many franchise restaurants. I guess to accomodate the tourists which DO NOT know how to drive. We need a tourist driving lane on the highways!! Jeb Bush just passed a law that you can bring your dog to rest. (outside patio) as long as the rest. allows it. Everyone has a dog here. Weather is very HOT and HUMID! Everything is cheaper to go to any park b/c of being a resident. Everyone is laid back here, definitely not a fast paced environment. Also, if someone is trying to start a business down here, it's definitely a boost b/c not that much variety yet, but won't last long.

It's not that bad, but I probably won't stay here much longer after I graduate. It's kind of weird, because it's very rare to find somebody that grew up here. Everyone has moved here from some place.
It's nice because there's all sorts of things to do. You can find something different for everybody.
But sometimes it feels like everyone just goes to the bars, which are overpopulated and way TOO expensive.
I do have to say that it's nice not to have to deal with snow anymore. =)

It really isn't all that. Yes, there's plenty of things to do to entertain yourself, but it all cost money. Unless you're super rich that you can afford to go everywhere and do everything. I'm sure that vactioning here is alot better though, because you saved up money to enjoy yourself, so you'll have money to go out and do everything.

Excellant, because you have lots of stuff to do and plenty of job opportunities and all of these theme parks to see and enjoy.
