not scary, just bloody and gory. good movie to see, some chick blows her brains out and you get to see the inside. amusing

Well, the original movie made in the 70's was literally painful to watch. It hurt my ears. The entire last half of the movie is devoted exclusively to one girl running around and screaming at the top of her lungs. It gets to the point where you're thinking, "Enough already! Just kill her so I can get some goddamn peace and quite!"
The new TCM is a lot more high budget and doesn't have so damn much screaming so it's more tolerable as well. I can't say I liked it much though. It was just plot-less gore and sadism. Not rill fun to watch. But if you like that kind of stuff, it could be just what you're after.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) with Jessica Biel.
Yes very good acting from all the characters in this movie.
A very good remake of the film.

The original is gritty classic horror. It defined horror to come and was ripped off by literally thousands of different movies. It is a classic and one of my favorites.
The new one is crap. Run of the mill horror, does not have the same effect.
