Don't bother reporting it to the SSA. They will think your card has been lost and send you another one. Report it to your local or state Unemployment office. They are the people really in charge of these kinds of problems You can ask for an audit, and that should solve the problem.

Contact your local social security office. If you know for a fact someone stole it or have evidence showing it may have been compromised, contact the local police and file a basic report. (this is so if someone uses your name you can be clear a bit easier then not having a report) Contact the Social Security office nearest you. Contactign the secret service office in your area also can be a option as they handle indentity theft cases, not the FBI unless your a famous person.
