My boyfriend is gone for a week and new pills say I have to wait 7 days after starting them before I can have intercourse without alternative protection and on top of that it says to wait until the sunday or 1st day of my period. If my period is due in a week can I start today that way I cant get the 7 day stretch out of the way?

Your best bet is to wait til your period starts, like the directions say ... the reason being that on the off chance you're pregnant, you shouldn't take the Pill, because it could be bad for the baby. Once your period starts, it's safe to start taking them. I know it's annoying to have to wait, but it's best to work with your body.

no wait until you finish your period. thats when you start the cycle. you may have breakthru bleeding but you'll be fine. if your mood changes and you feel depressed and your eating like a goat, then tell your doc. the pill isn;t for everyone.
