no, your "satisfaction" in a religion should never exist. you should never say yes i am fine i am satisfied with my religion. you should say yes i believe that Jesus was the son of God and he paid the ultimate sacrifice for my sins then rose again after the third day. this is not a gut feeling. it is faith. it is something that is not tangable. Faith in Christianity is not just a noun. it is a verb it is something that you do. now let me explain. once you have faith and you believe it is a lifechanging experience and event. you realize that the Lord has a plan for your life and it is bigger than you could ever imagine. to find out what the plan is for your life you must first have faith and a trust in the Lord. once you have that relationship with the Lord you have the power to do anything. he will give you all the answer to your questions. maybe not always in the most conventional ways but answers none the less.remember that Jesus loves you and that is good enough for me. i love you and respect you as a child of God. please email me and tell me your story and how you came to be the amazing person that you are.

I don't think my faith has ever been about a gut instinct or hunch. I struggled with religion/God/Christ for years. I guess out of fear of the unknown I studied the Bible and learned the Bible. That didn't really do anything for me either....just made me a guy with a bunch of Biblical facts....that even debated with myself about the accuracy of them.

As I grew, I studied other religions (other than Christianity, that is) and found them each unfulfilling to me. I related to Christianity, but had a problem with the entire Christ thing and the God/Christ/Holy Spirit...yet One God thing. I believed that Jesus was the empowered Prophet to end all Prophets....he that carried God's word...and was crucified, died, was buried, and was ressurected by God. A friend turned me to a branch religion Jews for Jesus...which was very similar to what I was holding on to.

After a bit of time (short time) with them, I found myself reading the Bible again and found my own beliefs were contrary to what the Bible was saying. Since then, I have accepted Jesus as the son of God and have grasped the concept of Three=One.

Ultimately, it was all about having the faith and taking that step.

absolutely not.Being a buddhist it's all about asking questions and finding answers.never about considering this is "it"because someone else says so or what is my gutt feeling about it. each passing day I realize the value of cultivating tha bility to let go and accept the way things truly are.

Eternity is worth more to me than a gut feeling. I think I better KNOW from Biblical truths what is right about choosing a religion.
