I am best friends with a gril who likes me. I do't like her, but i mean the world to her. In fact, I like someone else. I dated some one while she liked me and she got mad because I said "I can see us dating in the future" to her so as not to hurt her, and she feels like she's lost all hope! I feel so bad, but I like another girl, Summer. Should I ask out Summer or not?

You should probably have a talk with her, your friend. Tell her that you guys are friends and that she means the world to you. Be as gentle as you can in telling her that you just don't feel that way towards her right now. If it's meant to be, then it will. If you like this girl Summer, then by all means ask her out. Just don't parade her in front of your friend, that will pour salt on the wound.

This will blow any opportunity for the best friend going to the next level.

I had a similar situation many years ago.
I dated the summer girl. It was not really worth it.
A few years later , I really wondered about how nice it might have been to get together with the friend but it was much too late for me.
That ship had sailed.
I still wonder.

So you told your best friend that you can't see yourself dating her. As long as you told her, go ahead and date Summer. Don't cut your best friend off though, just because you don't want to date. Invite her on little side trips with OTHER people coming along as well. If she still thinks that you two are going to date...well, can't help you there. But don't try and set her up with other people. She'll move on at some point, and it depends on you whether or not when she moves on if you two are still friends.

Sit down with the girl who likes you and just tell her u dont like her but DON'T BE MEAN BOUT IT and if u like that girl Summer alot then ask her out

tell your friend exactly how you feel. Be nice though. then ask Summer out. if your friend has a hard time with this, limit your time with her for awhile. it's ok to like her as a friend, and not want it to go further.

i say go out with her....(just hold on a minute and listen to my reasoning) ......anyways i say go out with her...once u go out with her she'll c that there is no chemistry between u two and she'll go and hav a crush on someone else....right now the only reason she wants u is because she cant have u ...so just "give urself to her" for a week or two until she comes to her senses...
however....u might hav a problem if she truely is "ïn love" with you ...then ur saddled with her until u break up with her and break her heart...good luck o_0 lol

if you dont like her tell her you dont want to ruin a good friendship because your not good for her so that she want feel like its her and maybe you can keep the friendship.but please dont lead her on if you dont like her woman are very sensitive. good luck
