I used to have a problem with ants in my apartment. Use RAID ant baits (the baits, not the spray), they are EXCELLENT. They will bring the baits to the Queen and destroy all the ants in your home. Put a bait in each room, and they will be gone within a few days. You can pick them up at a local Wal-Mart for a cheap price (only a few dollars for a pack of 4 baits.)

At Wal-Mart, they sell a product that resembles those little roach hotels. I'm not certain what the brand name is, but you put those buggers out anywhere you've seen ant lines, and within 3 days, presto!! No more ants. And I mean for 2 years, no more ants in our house! I hope it holds out, but if not, I know what to put down! I think you are supposed to keep them away from house pets, tho.

Home Depot sells ant baits. Put them where you see the ants. The ants will go in and take the bait back to their nests. In about a week the ants will be gone. Keep the baits away from pets and kids.

baby powder TOTALLY works, they dont like to walk across it.
The best way is to follow the line of ants and make sure you spray right where they are coming from. Then kill the ones that are already in with a non toxic household cleaner...i use windex.
Good luck and keep up the good fight!

Borax laundry soap will work, sprinkle it around base boards and any where you see the ants, they will carry it back to their nest and it will kill them, vacuum up the excess when you no longer see the ants, you can put the Borax in a ketchup squirt bottle that you can get at the dollar store, we live in Tennessee and this works for us.
