Self-confidence and pride in yourself to be the best you can be without going on an "ego trip". Be proud of who you are no matter what your upbringing was like. Some of the most important people in the world came from poor backgrounds, yet they had self-confidence and a pride within themselves to rise above and succeed. Stay humble, but true to yourself and NEVER put yourself higher than the person you stand next to no matter where you achievements take you. You may not win every battle, but you will win the war.
