Burning Man is a week-long festival with international draw, held annually on the week prior to and including Labor Day weekend (in early September) in the United States. Its current location is on the playa of the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.

Not really positive on exactly what it is, but it's alot of people in the middle of the desert, Nevada I think, that get stoned and drunk for a few days, then burn a very large 'man' made out of wood.......

It's a festival they celebrate in New Mexico... the American Indians make a man out of paper and dry wood and they burn it ... it's supposed to present burning evil... in New Mexico they refer to it as the "zozoba" festival.

Its a crazy festival in the desert. Lots of drugs alcohol free love and fun. Costumes and trippy stuff all over. You trade for the things you need or want. It used to be way cooler until Mtv commercialized it.

Bunch of weirdos go into the desert and coexist for a while, listen to music and generally be hippies. I'm sure most of them are nice, if not especially clean ;)

Its a big party in the desert where they erect a huge wooden statue and set it on fire on the last night. Lots of people go there to have fun and celebrate.
