If African American's have Black Pride, and Hispanics have Brown Pride and it is considered a celebration of their culture and heritage, then why is it that if a white person says they have White Pride they are labeled a racist and a bigot???

This is very true and I have studied into it a bit. We have days and even months to celebrate other cultures, scholarship funds for only blacks or minorities, and what would happen if we had a white appreciation month or white scholarship? It would be considered discrimination. We will never be able to fully pass racism until we stop making white people pay for our ancestors mistakes. I have no problem with anyone no matter race or color but it is not fair that they can be proud of who they are and where they came from but I should be ashamed.

Because for a very long time "white pride" meant things like the Ku Klux Klan, or slavery, death and families ripped apart....Hitler...

It still has a lot of negative connotations to it. And it's going to take a long time to get over those connotations.

It's pretty much a fact that if you are a white male in this society, you are king of the hill. You get the best jobs, best pay and best everything. So it's gotten to the point where you feel entitled. Don't you understand that you've always had white pride...and there is nothing wrong (at all!) with white pride...as long as that pride doesn't involve the persecution/demeaning of another race! And if you don't think racisim is alive and well in this world, then you've spent an awful lot of time with your head in the sand.

It is a double standard, but its more attributable to the people who call white folks racist or bigot. The term "white pride" has had a long evil history, mostly from association with the KKK. I would never label myself as having "white pride" and hearing someone say they have "black pride" or "brown pride" or "gay pride" or "'whatever' pride" is equally stupid. I have "Human Pride". I am proud to be a human being on this planet, capable of making the changes needed to make my world grow.

That is indeed a double standard. Unfortunately it has to do with the commonly known context of "white pride" and what it is associated with.

it comes from the KKK, they say white pride and are raciest pigs from what I can tell.

I am white and proud of it, but I like everyone else too, damm KKK has made the term white pride into a raciest statement so I don't use it.

I label you sane. Why wouldn't you be proud. I am certainly glad I am me, and I am white (well, whitish, at any rate.)

I believe it is due to the KKK. I also believe everyone has a little racism due to their up-bringing, what we are taught as children.
