I have heard that Vickers is trying to get out of his contract after 2006 season. Also Mears has not signed anything for next year with Ganassi. So anything is possible.

Mears will likely take Vickers' place at Hendrick since he was the choice for the 25 in 2002. (Brian was Ricky's choice) Brian is on the list for Red Bull Toyota (Oh God I hope not) or to replace D.J. at Yates, who will be looking for a sponsor for the 88 since UPS is likely gone.

this is vickers last year at hendricks
and mears is considered the biggest free agent. they are both shopping for jobs, but not guarantee as to where they are going yet...
nascar.com has the latest on it, esp the vickers decision to leave hendrick
