I keep trying to call my friend who has a sprint PCS phone and after the first ring the voicemail picks up. Why is this? It has been happening for 2 days now.

The person is either talking to someone or has the phone off. It could also be because SPRINT SUCKS!!!!!

It's most likely that the phone is turned off or they are out of a service area (a rural or mountain vacation, perhaps a hospital?). Maybe they misplaced it and the battery has discharged, or it's broken. Or maybe they just don't feel like talking to anyone for some reason and have turned it off or are pressing "ignore" when they get an incoming call.

Regarding the compnay, I've had Sprint for 5 years and have good things to say. I've had a better experience with it than the other providers! In my experience they are very good about giving credits or otherwise making up any problems (which happen with any provider anyway) to customers.

My son had an older phone and that same thing would happen. (It was also one of the 'free' phones for signing a service plan) He did not appear to be out of service, and could make calls, but often calls to his phone got dumped to voice mail. Your friend should visit the local Sprint store and see if there are any service updates for their phone. Otherwise, a new phone may be in order.

properly, I have tried to commerce mine in, yet when I went into the keep, they reported that i'd ought to pay for the activation fee for the recent telephone, and signal a clean contract.
