I am only 24, but ever since I started my new pills, I just feel no desire to have sex. I have heard that this can happen, but it is a pretty dramatic change.

Yes, this is fairly common, although some people have the opposite effect. You could try a different pill. Everyone reacts differently to every pill. There's one out there that works for you; it just might take a few tries to find it.

You're tweaking with your body's hormones, your internal chemistry, and your biological clock all at once.

You betcha there could be changes. It may not be common, but it is concerning.

You may wish to try a different formulation (ie, a low estrogen variant) of the pill or a different method altogether.

There's no side effects to abstinence, but this is not a popular message.

Yes that is a serious downside to birth control. If I were you, and it's seriously affecting your life...I'd go with a low-dosage birth control pill. I hear theres something new on the market begins with an "L"...sorry forgot name, but it's called the "new period pill".
Supposed to not have such terrible side effects.

Warning: I wouldn't advise the depo shot for anyone. That made me ill for 8 months! Depression, pain, strange color tone to your skin...EW! I should have sued!

I am 24 as well and have had the same thing happen to me. It is normal. Maybe you should try another form of birth control or even another brand. Talk to your Doctor for better options. In the meantime try four play. I know it's tough, but hang in there.

I've heard that this is common for those that snort the pill, instead of swallow it. Make sure your reading the instructions and taking the pill properly. :)
