If you really care about each other and have aired everything out, I think you should try to work this out. Just because he wasn't able to stay with the other woman, doesn't mean he won't be able to with you. If not though, that's no reason for him not to be in contact with his child (or that if he doesn't stay with you he shouldn't pay child support). Remember, you made this decision.
