She leads like a angel, She can pivit, She knows voice cues such as walk, trot, whoa, over, She bends both ways. For a 7 month old baby she does everything she can do besides lunge so I want to start her on that for exersice and compitition.

Try leading her around in a circle so you are right next to her. run with her at a trot. And if you are a fast runner do a canter with her too. Every time you practice move a little farther away from her. if she ever tries to cut in have your whip handy to push her back out. If you practice alot you'll be in the middle of your horse's circle in no time!! Keep practicing! I hope this helps!!!

You need to teach them to go away from you. Might need use a little flag like a stick with a plastic sack or hanky on the end. Start by getting them to move thier shoulders away from you, then thier hip. I would suggest you get some videos from Clinton Anderson or John Lyons on lunging for respect. I hope I helped.

Could you provide a little more info? What is she doing when you try to lunge her? Does she lead well, know voice cues, bend in both directions?

you need to start with her facing the direction she needs to go in... and stand even with her hip and use a lunge whip to encourage her to go.. start small circles and let the lunge line out... use your body to make her go if you have a rounde pen start in there the fence will help keep her from shying away from you good luck any questions www.holdyourhorsesaz.com

She needs to know when to move out from you. Put your longe line on her, there should be very little slack in the longe line. Ask her to move out, and step a little towards her hind quarters. If she doesn't move out, ask again. If she still doesn't move out, gently tap her on the rear and cluck or kiss a little. As she moves out, give her slack in the line and praise her. Good luck!

i would get the line adn point her in the direction u want her to go in and if she doesnt budge get the whip and pop it near her and if she still dont move start tapping her until she starts to move the object is to make her feel uncomfortable until she moves but as soon as she moves reward her so she knows that she did good
