Definatly Avenged Sevenfold, their Waking the Fallen is one of the best CD's ever.

You can;t compare them. Green Day is punk. Avenged Sevenfold is metal/heavy metal. Now, Green Day are punk-rock GODs! They have some of the best Punk songs I have EVER heard. "Longview", "Jesus Of Suburbia", "Poprocks & Coke", "Basket Case", "American Idiot". They truly are the Clash of our era. Now, Avenged Sevenfold...They have a ways to go if they want to be metal gods. They gotta get past SlipKnoT, Black Sabbath, Dimmu Borgir, Children Of Bodom, AC/DC, Lamb Of God. Now "Beast and the Harlot" and "Bat Country" are some of my favorite songs, but they got a ways to go if they wanna reach the top with "Duality", "Wait and Bleed", "Are You Dead Yet?", "Children Of Decadence", "Now You've Got Something To Die For", "Black Label" and finally the legendary "Ashes Of The Wake". You can't compare the two but you can compare their stature in their genres.
