In the NFL the team with the worst record they get first draft pick, so how do they do it in the NBA?

In the NBA there is a lottery. That is, they put ping pong balls in a big bowl with the names of teams that didnt make the playoffs. The worse ur record is, the more ping pong balls ur team gets, and thus the bigger the chance of getting picked high. The teams that make the playoffs are placed in order from worst record to best for the last 16 spots.

they take all the teams in the NBA that didnt make the playoffs and put them in a lottery and the team with the worst record has the best chance of getting the first pick and the 2nd worst has the 2nd best chance and so on.
