Tom-a-hawk is partially right. But you could also purchase a USB to ethernet converter if you're adverse to opening the the computer case. You should be able to pick one of these up for between $15 ~ $30. These will support USB 1.1 or 2.0 ports...

You need to purchase a PCI Ethernet card. Insert the card into the computer. Start up the computer. Connect Ethernet cord from the card to a port on the router (1-4). Hook an Ethernet cable from the cable mode/dsl modem to the WAN port of the router. Enjoy!

You just need to get a wireless USB adapter, which should be detected and configured by Windows XP/Mac OS after you install the drivers.

There is another port similiar to a USB which is used for ethernet in the laptop.And further there is a converter available in the markets you can also use this.

you can do a few things
1. buy a wireless network adaptor(that use USB)
2. buy a worless network card that you put inside your PC
or
3. buy a netowrking card, so you can plug it in with a cord and not use wireless
