You just have to be careful not to get hit by falling merchandise though.

walmart is very successful because they are able to sell great quality products and a low price. which makes people want to buy there products even more because they can get more for their money at a much less price than other stores. also walmart is an all in one store. it is a food store in some areas, a clothing store, an electronic store, a home store, and much more. thats why people keep on coming back. it is cheap and very convient.

Sam Walton told the world that you could sell American-made goods at a reasonable price and still make money.

Its a damn shame he's gone and Walmart is now Chinamart.

Paying their workers so little that they get government income credits. Forcing their suppliers to lower the quality of their goods. Crushing unions in their stores (even closing down stores that unionised), and leaning on suppliers to crush the unions there. Building in cheap out-of-town locations that offer no competition and no benefit to the community.

Mainly their Supply Chain system. They were able to get their products to their stores cheaper than their competitors, and very efficiently as well. So they were able to charge less than their competitors for the same item. Then as they grew, they got so big and popular, they were able to demand that their suppliers charge them less than the sell the same item to other retailers for. So that lets them again charge less while makign more. Its obviously worked quite well for them

Cheap labor, caculated geographics, and ingenious marketing. When you run all your competition (aka mom and pop stores) out of town you'd make money too.

By dealing in volume they can undercut any competition and people shop for the best price.
