The fathers that are trying to make their payments are losing their jobs because the courts are locking them up. This is ruining the fathers credit reports, and they are being forced to undergo terms and conditions that are unconstitutional. We need to have more support from the men in the United States, because this issue is separating the children farther and farther from their biological fathers. Let's face it ladies, these men are not coming back to you, so destroying their chances of living a productive life is not going to make them love you any more.

If the father wasn't a deadbeat then the courts wouldn't lock him up. My ex has been a deadbeat for about 9 years now and the courts have not done a thing to him.

first of all, sometimes it's the mothers that need to make child support payments.
second of all, i've never heard of someone losing a job because they have to go to court. most jobs understand that if you have to go to court, you have to go. better let them go for a few days a month than have a warrant out for their arrest and then have them end up in jail.
what terms and conditions are unconstitutional? where in the constitution does it talk about a person that has to pay for child support?
and what makes you think that mother or father wants their ex-spouse to love them again? most people don't really want their ex-husbands/wives to love them again. they just want them to take some responsibility for their children. usually it's the judge that decides how much visitation time the kids get with their parents, and it's usually pretty fair too.
the deadbeat dad/mom has been an issue for a while, and it's with stuff like stricter laws that make these people step up to the plate.

Fathers who support their children by paying what the court has ordered, do not get locked up. And, if they didn't want kids, they should have protected themselves in the first place. Nothing unconstitutional is being done.
Are you that guy who had the website who attempted to get child support payments banished?

I don't know where you got your information but the only time they are locked up is when they aren't making their payments. These laws have nothing to do with the Federal Government, they are mandated by each individual state. Any father who does not actively participate in his childs' lives should be punished. That's why they are called dead-beat dads and not Fathers of the Year. Just pay your child support and quit whining.

I think the only reform that needs to be done to the "child support" is proof the money is being spent the way it should be spent. I m the one who filed all the paperwork for the child support. Not the mother. We split up over her cheating, not the child. I love my daughter with every bit of my being. I am current with every payment. She has no job, lives with her parents and I know she has used the payments I ve made to buy things for herself, mainly drugs cigarettes and beer. I want proof the money is used for my daughter. I mean food stamps are governed from hell. Have the recipient send receipts of purchases to the child support enforcement agency and impose penalties for wrongful purchases.

Something needs to be in a hurry. In Texas we have a jackass that is our current Attorney General (a Bush crony). He is making at least one guy pay child support for a child that was fathered when he was in prison!!! The first thing that we will do about it in Texas is to ELECT DAVID VAN OS FOR TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL!!!!
By the way, my brother has custody of his two kids and he lives in North Carolina. He gets absolutely no child support and has decided that the fact that she stays away is payment enough!!

lol. i love this one. you're right though. but i'll never understand why guys are so stupid to knock up everything they see in a skirt anyway. a lot of women do this as a trap and boy have they got you guys by the balls. that's why i don't date guys with kids. they're virtually castrated, and they're lives are full of DRAMA!!!
